The clinic
How do Artesia residents see a therapist at Eye Cue?
Artesia directly borders Cerritos. Our office at 17215 Studebaker Rd., Suite #110, Cerritos, CA 90703 sits at the junction of the 91 freeway and the 605 freeway. Most Artesia residents reach us in about 10 minutes.
You do not need to choose one mode and stick with it. Clients in Artesia often start in person and shift to telehealth when a schedule changes. You keep the same therapist and the same treatment plan either way.
If you could only get biweekly sessions elsewhere, that changes here. Many callers cannot find a therapist who speaks Farsi, Spanish, or Hindi. Our team includes clinicians who cover all three, plus Tagalog, Urdu, and Punjabi.
Continuity of care
Do you keep the same therapist in person and by video?
Large telehealth platforms assign whoever is available and cannot offer a face-to-face backup. Serving Artesia clients from the Cerritos clinic means you get a real in-person option, not just a promise of one. Founder Saqib Iqbal, LCSW, put it plainly: the same therapist either way.
Clients move between in-person sessions at the Cerritos office and telehealth sessions from Artesia without restarting the insurance process or losing the therapeutic relationship. Treatment length is based on your medical necessity, not an algorithm or a session quota.
Coverage
What insurance is accepted, including Medi-Cal?
Eye Cue Mental Health accepts Medi-Cal, Anthem Medi-Cal, Blue Shield Promise Medi-Cal, LA Care, Molina, Cigna, and Aetna. Whether your specific plan covers the service you need depends on your plan and medical necessity, and we verify your benefits before your first session.
LA Care and Molina are LA County only. Anthem Medi-Cal, Blue Shield Promise, Cigna, and Aetna reach clients statewide by telehealth. We have held Medi-Cal contracts since we opened in November 2017. Call us with your insurance card and we check together before you book.
What we treat
What mental health care do you provide for Artesia clients?
The services our clinicians offer in person at the Cerritos office and by video across Artesia and statewide. If you do not see your concern, call us; intake is the best way to find out if we fit.
Individual therapy
Individual therapy is the practice's primary service. Adults work one-on-one with a clinician on anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD concerns, and life transitions. Treatment length follows medical necessity, not a session quota.
Couples counseling
Couples counseling helps partners address recurring conflict, communication breakdown, and emotional distance, with real tools to name unmet needs and respond to each other.
Trauma therapy and EMDR
EMDR therapy is available through our practice. A clinician on our team trained in EMDR offers Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing for trauma and stress-related concerns. Most EMDR clinicians do not accept Medi-Cal; ours does.
Medi-Cal therapy
Medi-Cal therapy at our Cerritos clinic means private-practice quality care on your Medi-Cal plan. Medi-Cal makes up most of our current caseload, so our intake process is built around it, not an afterthought.
Telehealth therapy
Secure video sessions reach any Artesia resident with an internet connection. We hold statewide contracts with Anthem Medi-Cal, Blue Shield Promise, Cigna, and Aetna. Coverage depends on your plan and medical necessity; call to confirm.
Family therapy
Family therapy supports parents, children, and multi-generational dynamics. Clinicians work with the relationships shaping the household, not just the individual presenting as the concern.
Language access
Can I see a therapist in my language near Artesia?
One of the most common frustrations we hear from callers is that they cannot find a therapist who speaks Farsi, Tagalog, or Spanish. Our team delivers sessions in six languages beyond English: Spanish, Farsi, Tagalog, Hindi, Urdu, and Punjabi, spoken across our team at one outpatient practice.
Artesia's Pioneer Boulevard corridor is one of the most concentrated South Asian communities in Southern California, and a language match matters for the therapeutic relationship. Call us and we will match you with a clinician whose language fits. See our Medi-Cal therapy page for more on coverage.
Our team also includes a clinician with a Muslim-affirming practice approach, available to serve the Muslim community across LA County and Orange County.
In their words
What do clients say about Eye Cue Mental Health?
A note from someone we worked with at our Cerritos office.
"This therapist has saved my life. Makes you feel great when you walk out of his office. Saqui will also give you tools to continue your treatment on your own time. Highly recommend him for people all ages."

Good questions
Frequently asked questions about therapy near Artesia
Still unsure? Call 562-860-2891 and we will talk it through, no commitment.
Yes, Medi-Cal is one of seven insurance contracts we hold. Whether your specific plan covers the service you need depends on your plan and medical necessity, and we verify before you start. Call 562-860-2891 with your insurance card.
Yes. Artesia borders Cerritos, and our office is about a 10-minute drive from most Artesia addresses. You can also be seen entirely by telehealth from Artesia if that works better. Either way, you keep the same clinician.
Cost depends on your plan and medical necessity. We accept Medi-Cal plus six other plans, and many Medi-Cal members have no out-of-pocket cost for medically necessary therapy. Per the California DHCS telehealth policy, Medi-Cal covers outpatient mental health services when medically necessary. We verify your benefits before your first session, so call 562-860-2891 to confirm your specific plan.
Our team includes clinicians who speak Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, Farsi, Spanish, and Tagalog. We match you to the right clinician at intake. Per-clinician language availability is confirmed by phone when you call.
We reassign you to another clinician in the practice. You do not lose your place in the insurance process and you do not restart benefits verification. Getting the right fit is something we handle, not something you navigate alone.
California law prohibits a therapist from entering a romantic or sexual relationship with a former client for at least 2 years after the last professional contact. This protects clients after therapy ends. It has no bearing on starting care or switching clinicians within our practice.
A therapist who avoids answering questions about their approach, discourages second opinions, or pushes a treatment plan that does not feel right is worth questioning. Our practice lets you switch to another clinician within the team if the first match is not working, with no loss of your insurance benefits.
In California, both terms often refer to licensed clinicians providing psychotherapy, but the license type differs. Our team includes an LCSW, AMFTs, and ASWs, all supervised by Saqib Iqbal, LCSW. Call us if you want to understand which clinician background fits your situation.
We hold contracts with seven plans, so many managed-care changes keep you in-network. If your new plan is not one we hold, we discuss options with you before ending care. Call us when you know a change is coming so we can sort it before your next session.
We are psychotherapy only and do not prescribe medication or provide crisis intervention. If you are in crisis, call or text 988, the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, any time, 24 hours a day. For urgent mental health resources, contact the nearest emergency room or call 911.
